Many bicycles for sale

I have many bicycles for sale. Mostly adult bikes for people under 5'10". I collect bikes mostly for me so I acquire what fits me. Mountain bikes, Schwinns, touring bikes, racing bikes, folding bikes, old English 3 speed bikes. From nice to junk. Many need repair. Really I do intend to overhaul all of them but I know I won't get to all of them in this lifetime.

I can ship bikes if the buyer wants to pay the expenses. I now use FedEx ground since they are convenient for me and are reasonable. I've shipped dozens of bikes with no complaints. On the other hand I've also received many bikes and I'm amazed some of them even made it to me. So far only 1 received bike was destroyed - due to lousy packing by the seller. I used to work in a bike shop. Started by assembling new bikes so I'm very familiar with proper packing techniques for bicycles from dozens of different manufacturers. Local pick up is always welcome. I live in Cedar Rapids, Iowa.

I'll be adding a post for each bicycle I want to sell. I'll include photos, measurements, condition, what was done to the bike, asking price.

About me. I started biking when I was 5 years old. Still going after 50 years. I've toured, raced, commuted, organized bike tours & races. Worked in a bicycle shop, starting in high school and worked my way up to manager by the time I graduated from college. Bicycles in many forms have been a hobby for me my whole life. I was USCF district rep for Iowa, later Local Coordinator, for 13 years. I've organized about 30 races. Time trials, team time trials, road race, cyclocross, velodrome racing, state championships. I've build a few frames, mostly kid sized tandems and a bicycle built for 4. I have repainted bikes. Built thousands of wheels. I won a silver medal at USCF Masters Nationals with my mother in the co-ed tandem division. She's one up on me there, she also has a gold medal. I've done ragbrai since it started in 1973. I've also ridden across about 10 other states. GOBA, GRABAWR, Hell Week twice, Ride the Rockies, Triple Bypass (the year they had 4 passes), Missouri, New York, South Dakota, Minnesota, Wisconsin. I've done the Midwest Tandem Rally since 1978, usually every 2nd or 3rd year. I am a USAC nationally ranked race official since 1981. I've written software for bicycle race registration and results. Ridden in France & the Netherlands. Last fall I raced in a Human Powered Vehicle race. My current focus in biking is commuting, touring and art bikes. My latest creation is my Rodeo Bike. A bicycle that rides like a bucking bronco. Intended for parade use. I also own a PPV, aka, People Powered Vehicle which gets used in local parades with a number of other local PPV owners.
